ACT has placed 17th in this year’s Top 100 Most Inclusive UK Employers Index by the National Centre for Diversity.
The centre helps companies build friendlier, fairer and more diverse workplaces, with its index celebrating organisations that have nurtured an inclusive culture. ACT has been part of the index since 2022.
ACT’s umbrella organisation, Cardiff and Vale College, also placed highly in the list, taking the 12th spot.
Becky Morris, Head of Continuous Improvement at ACT, said of the achievement: “Since beginning our journey in 2022, when we were placed 27th, we’ve worked hard to embed diversity and inclusion into everything we do. Moving up ten places since 2022 reflects the dedication and passion of our colleagues across the organisation, who contribute to this culture every single day.”
Rebecca Cooper, Head of People and Development at ACT, added: “We are incredibly proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s most inclusive employers. This achievement reflects the hard work and commitment of our staff, who champion inclusion and fairness in everything they do.
“While we’ve come a long way since starting our journey in 2022, we know there’s always more to do and we remain passionate and committed to continuous improvement.”
The placement follows a string of recognition for ACT who recently placed 26th in Best Companies’ 100 Best Large Companies to Work for in the UK and 5th best in Wales.
At the time Managing Director, Richard Spear, said: “This recognition reflects the incredible commitment my colleagues show every single day. Their passion for improving lives through learning is what makes ACT such a special place to work.
“I’m hugely proud of the culture we’ve built together and delighted to see it recognised at a national level.”
