ACT is proud to champion Skills Competition Wales and WorldSkills UK, giving learners the opportunity to showcase their talents

We’re calling on all employers to support their learners in entering competitions that align with their sector.

What are Skills Competitions?

Funded by the Welsh Government, the competitions are free to enter and run between January and March each year. They cover a wide range of sectors – from engineering and hospitality to digital technologies and health and social care – and help learners who enter develop their skills, gain recognition for their achievements, and even progress to national and international competitions.

Each year, the competition concludes with an awards ceremony celebrating the achievements of top competitors.

Why take part?

Skills Competitions are an excellent way to:

  • Boost learner and employee confidence and motivation
  • Raise your organisation’s profile
  • Benchmark skills against national and international standards
  • Support talent development and retention

Whether you’re completely new to skills competitions or have been involved before, now is the perfect time to get engaged.
