About this Apprenticeship

Cardiff City Council’s Agile Mobile Working Team is looking to employ a Corporate Apprentice (Level 2) Agile Mobile Working Support Assistant to contribute to their Service helping deliver ICT support and provide ICT equipment to workers in the Children’s and Adult Social Services directorates and assist with digital initiatives being undertaken in the service area.

Apprenticeship Level 2 – Digital Application Support

8:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Thursday and 8:00am – 3:30pm Fridays

37 hours per week

 

£22,737 per annum

Key Duties

  • Assist with providing basic ICT troubleshooting support in the Windows and Android operating systems.
  • Use Microsoft 365 packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Create SharePoint web pages and learn the administrator role of a SharePoint Site.
  • Provide ICT equipment to workers in Children’s and Adult Social Services.
  • Provide excellent customer service via email, teams and over the phone.
  • Run reports and interpret data regarding ICT assets within the directorate.

Essential Criteria

  • Has achieved, or is expected to achieve a minimum of: GCSE Grade G or above in Maths and English (and/or Welsh), or an equivalent qualification e.g. Essential Skills Wales Level 1 in Communication and Application of Number.
  • Any qualifications or training undertaken at any level.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the work of the Council.
  • Can speak and write fluently in English and/or Welsh to speak to colleagues and customers, take messages or ask questions to gain understanding.
  • Able to use a computer and software applications, to any level, relevant to the role.
