About this Apprenticeship
The Early Help Service, for babies, children, young people and families, is looking to employ a Corporate Apprentice (Level 2) Finance Assistant to be part of their Business Unit based at the Conference Centre, Eastmoors Road, Splott. CF24 5RR.
You will be part of an established Business Support team who have proven experience in providing back-office assistance to public facing teams delivering a variety of services across Early Help to. In this role you will undertake a variety of administration and financial tasks to support the team with health & safety, finance, purchasing, building management, facility bookings and other administrative functions.

Key Duties
- To be proactive, adaptable, and responsive to change
- To assist with the provision of a high-quality service – this may include developing homeworking skills for some roles.
- To support internal and external customer requests and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- To communicate with a range of internal and/or external customers as required
- To assist other team members in the carrying out of their duties
- To undertake and complete all training and development experiences as required.
- To participate in Corporate Scheme events
Essential Criteria
- Has achieved, or is expected to achieve a minimum of: GCSE Grade G or above in Maths and English (and/or Welsh), or an equivalent qualification e.g. Essential Skills Wales Level 1 in Communication and Application of Number.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the work of the Council.
- Can speak and write fluently in English and/or Welsh to speak to colleagues and customers, take messages or ask questions to gain understanding.
- Able to use a computer and software applications, to any level, relevant to the role.
