About this Apprenticeship
The Energy & Sustainability Team is looking to employ a Corporate Apprentice Carbon Reporting Officer based at County Hall, Cardiff, CF10 4UW, to contribute to their Service and support the team to progress the carbon reporting and data presentation element of the teams work, for both the organisation, individual Directorates, and for the city of Cardiff.

Key Duties
- Assist with collating, maintaining and analysing of carbon data reporting using bespoke Council systems, and Microsoft Office applications in particular Microsoft Excel and also PowerBi
- undertake basic research and analysis on carbon reporting data.
- Work in partnership with a range of services and organisations.
- Work as part of a team reporting encouraging the organisation to use carbon reporting to progress the One Planet Cardiff agenda.
- create graphs and charts to reflect data analysis.
- Undertake a range of administrative tasks to support the team software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and our Sharepoint system..
- Manage your time effectively.
Essential Criteria
- Has achieved, or is expected to achieve a minimum of: GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (and/or Welsh), or an equivalent qualification e.g. Essential Skills Wales Level 2 in Communication and Application of Number.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the work of the Council.
- Can speak and write fluently in English and/or Welsh to speak to colleagues and customers, take messages or ask questions to gain understanding.
- Able to use a computer and software applications, to any level, relevant to the role.
