Wales’ leading training provider have appointed a new Learner Representative to be the voice of work-based learners across the ACT network.

ACT welcomes Chloe Mundell, who previously worked in ACT’s Care, Support and Guidance team as an Additional Learning Support worker.

As a learner representative, Chloe will work closely with learners from all ACT Traineeship and Apprenticeship programmes, conducting forums and focus groups to get feedback and implement positive change. She will also work within ACT’s marketing department to build relationships with schools, giving talks and presentations to pupils, and giving advice at careers fairs.

Another important part of Chloe’s role will involve regularly liaising with the National Union of Students Wales (NUS Wales). ACT have been working with NUS Wales since 2016, the first Welsh training provider to do so in this capacity.

Chloe commented: “I love working with the learners, and my experience in my previous role as a Support Worker allows me to build strong relationships with them so I can help to make their journey the best it can be. I have just completed my MSc in Psychology so I’m excited to use my skills and knowledge to encourage constructive feedback from our learners.”

Chloe’s role will bridge the gap between learners and managers to ensure all learners get the best from their ACT experience and ensure their learner journey is the best it can be.

Andrew Cooksley, ACT’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Chloe joins us at an exciting time. She will make a major contribution to the development of our programmes and ensure we continue to connect effectively with our learners and the Welsh Government.”
