At ACT, learner satisfaction is vitally important and as Wales leading training provider, we are keen to ensure our standards are consistent across the board.
With over 20 sub-contractors; 12 different Traineeship routes for 16-18 year olds; Apprenticeships in over 30 sectors for 16-25 year olds; Higher Apprenticeship programmes for all ages; and work ready courses for those that are unemployed, we have a diverse and varied range of learners of which we work hard to keep engaged and deliver quality and relevant training to.
We strive to ensure all learners are satisfied and have the opportunity to voice any opinions with regards to their training and contribute ideas and feedback on improvements and developments.
Every year we undertake a survey of our learners from the network, to monitor satisfaction across a variety of areas. Learners are asked questions regarding the support they receive, the information given to them, the facilities and equipment available to them as well as their overall rating of their provider.
ACT prides itself on its award-winning staff, strong support system and top training facilities and this was clearly reflected in the survey results.
This year, the ACT network raised the bar; scoring an incredible 93% good/excellent in overall learner satisfaction- this was a massive 4% increase on 2014/2015 and reflects ACT’s continuing development.
Melinda Righton, from Barry is currently studying a Level 5 in Childcare, Learning and Development. Commenting on her experience of ACT, Melinda said: “I am really enjoying my course and could not ask for better support from my tutor – they’re always there at any time. ACT is the best provider around for courses to improve and help continuous professional development. This is my third training course, I have recommended ACT to several people and will continue to do so.
Across the board, results look great, and work will now continue to further increase results and ensure 100% of our learners rate the service they receive as excellent. A follow up will take place to look at any areas that learners feel could be improved or developed and these will now be main priority.
Andrew Cooksley, Managing Director of ACT said: “The learner survey results are a fantastic reflection on our teams who work extremely hard and will always go that extra mile to make sure learners are satisfied. We set ourselves the target of increasing the learner satisfaction rate to 90% by December 2016 and I am elated by the fact that we have exceed it.”
