The Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Refresher course provides participants with an opportunity to update and strengthen the knowledge and skills gained from the original 12-hour Adult MHFA course.
Through this interactive session, participants will:
- Explore the latest research and developments in mental health.
- Learn and reinforce the three key actions for supporting someone who may be feeling suicidal.
- Work through complex mental health first aid scenarios.
- Practise and enhance their mental health first aid skills in a safe learning environment.
The course content is grounded in best-practice guidelines, developed through expert consensus from individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges, alongside mental health professionals.

Cost: £180 (including VAT)
Prerequisites: Participants must have attended a full MHFA Wales Classroom based or full Blended (eLearning) course within the past 3 years in order to attend a Refresher. The MHFA Refresher course will extend the certification for a further 3 years.
