A School’s Guide to ACT
Our guide provides a brief overview of qualifications, professional development and support that ACT can offer your incredible staff.
At ACT, we are extremely passionate about making a positive difference to people’s lives by providing excellent learning programmes and opportunities.
We have worked closely with over 480 schools to provide high quality training programmes, supporting schools and the wider education sector to meet their continuous professional development (CPD) requirements and to ensure staff have the knowledge and resources they need, both in and beyond the classroom. ACT and our sister company ALS can provide these fully funded solutions because we are part of the Cardiff and Vale College Group, one of the largest college groups in the UK. Together we are the largest provider of skills-based training in Wales. With the support of Welsh Government funding ACT and ALS can assist with upskilling your staff to match the unique needs of your school.

Help and advice
At ACT we are committed to offering the best training opportunities in Wales. We want your pupils to make the right decision about their future and we have a team of experts on standby to make sure that happens. Working extremely closely with schools and sixth forms across South Wales, our dedicated ‘schools team’ supports teachers, educators and careers advisors in delivering the most useful and relevant information to students from Year 7 through to Year 13.
We aim to help local schools and sixth-form colleges give the very best information and advice to young people about their future prospects. Through a range of workshops, presentations, talks and bespoke sessions, our team can work closely with your staff, and give extremely helpful, impartial advice to all of your pupils who will be thinking about what to do when they leave school.
