This Highfield accredited course provides participants with basic skills to manage life-threatening emergencies and injuries faced by children and infants. You may already be in post, but do not need to be in employment to gain this qualification. This course will cover CPR, managing an unconscious casualty, assisting a casualty who is choking and wound management.

This qualification is primarily aimed at those who wish to develop the essential knowledge and skills to become an emergency paediatric first aider, but is also useful for anyone with the responsibility for caring for infants and children.

The assessment for this qualification includes a 15 question multiple choice assessment to be completed at the end of the training in addition to practical demonstration assessments throughout each day.
