About this course

In the rapidly evolving digital world, creating intuitive and engaging user experiences is crucial for business success. The Level 3 Diploma in User Centred Design qualification is for anyone working in end -user focused design roles.  This course emphasises project management, research, testing, and design, utilising a variety of software packages to address diverse and evolving digital product creation.

This course is ideal for candidates who are working with various software with a client focus such as a specialist user centred design agency delivering user-driven services to clients, or those in-service delivery functions of private and public sector organisations requiring user centred design principles to be embedded into their operations.

Learners will be required to undertake a mixture of mandatory units and optional units (we will work with you to decide what optional units are relevant to your role, and your business).

Mandatory units include:

  • Content Design
  • User Research
  • The User centred Design Landscape
  • Impact of Neurodiversity on Digital Accessibility

When you agree to undertake an apprenticeship, you may be required to complete essential skills qualifications, depending on your previous qualifications, the apprenticeship level you are completing and your own particular needs.

This qualification will primarily be delivered through 1-to-1 sessions with a member of our delivery team, using a mixture of face-to-face and remote learning sessions.

Upon enrolment, learners are also allocated an assessor. Throughout the qualification, the assessor will visit the learner either at their workplace or remotely (for example, via Microsoft Teams) on a monthly basis, to support progress, observe and set tasks.

Learners are supported and encouraged throughout their qualification to reach their full potential in their chosen industry. Successful learners can progress onto the Level 4 User Centred Design Apprenticeship with our sister company ALS.
