ACT retains Leaders in Diversity Gold accreditation

ACT retains Leaders in Diversity Gold accreditation ACT, Wales’ largest training provider, has successfully retained its Leaders in Diversity Gold accreditation from the National Centre for Diversity. The achievement marks a continued commitment to inclusivity and equality across the organisation.

The assessment, which took place earlier this year, looked at how well ACT embeds the National Centre for Diversity’s FREDIE model – which stands for Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement.

Feedback from the assessor highlighted that ACT displayed a strong ‘FREDIE’ culture, visible leadership and a commitment to wellbeing. The assessor also spoke with colleagues, learners and stakeholders about the culture of ACT, which yielded some incredible comments, including:

“From top to bottom, this is the most inclusive organisation I’ve ever worked for.”

The report also recognised the progress we’ve made since first achieving Leaders in Diversity, including climbing from 47th to 17th in the National Centre for Diversity’s Top 100 Most Inclusive Organisations.

ACT’s Managing Director, Richard Spear, spoke of the achievement: “Retaining our Leaders in Diversity Gold accreditation reflects the culture ACT built together, where fairness, respect and inclusion are part of our everyday practice rather than standalone initiatives.

“The feedback from colleagues, learners and partners demonstrates that people genuinely feel valued, listened to and supported, and that’s exactly the kind of organisation we want to be.

“While we’re proud of this recognition, we’re equally committed to continuing to learn, improve and build on the excellent foundations we’ve created together.”
