ACT are delighted to be partnering with Teenage Cancer Trust Cymru in 2019, a charity who create world-class cancer services for young people in Wales and throughout the UK. They provide life-changing care and support so young people don’t have to face cancer alone.

Over the next year ACT will participate in a variety of exciting fundraising activities to raise as much money and awareness as possible for the charity. In addition to funding, ACT’s wider goal is to provide young people from Teenage Cancer Trust Cymru with the opportunities and career pathways needed beyond their recovery from cancer treatment, to ensure they continue their learning and realise their potential.

Caroline Cooksley, Development Director at ACT commented, “We are delighted to be working with Teenage Cancer Trust, an organisation whose mission to help improve the lives of young people.  A mission which is so strongly aligned with our own.

“Our aim is to not only raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity but to help these young people, whose lives have been put on hold while they undergo treatment, discover the career opportunities available to them through our various training programmes.”

Teenage Cancer Trust Cymru added, “At Teenage Cancer Trust Cymru, we’re delighted to have been chosen as a charity partner of ACT Training. Our partnership will help us to raise awareness of our vital services in Wales to make sure no young person faces cancer alone.  The money raised by staff and learners will go towards helping us achieve our aim of reaching 100% of the young people who need our specialist help and support across the communities of Wales.  Enabling young people with cancer to have access to our life-changing care in their local hospital, at home or wherever they live.”
