Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi,
This land of my father so dear to me
From the valleys and mountains  and down to the sea
A land full of traditions, our passions run deep
From singing to rugby and our fondness of sheep.

There are a few things of we Welsh do boast
The world’s longest footpath follows the Pembrokeshire coast
The world’s longest place name people from far come to see
We can’t pronounce it, so we call Llanfair PG.

The Millennium Stadium in our city stands proud
The Six Nations Championship draws such a crowd
The singing of Cwm Rhondda and Calon Lan
Stirs the hiraeth of every Welsh rugby fan.

The words of these hymns through the stadium resounds
But when Leigh takes a penalty, there’s hardly a sound
It keeps our boys playing when all hope seems lost
The boys try their hardest, no matter the cost

It’s known throughout Wales its England to beat
And the singing gets louder when these teams meet
We wear our daffodils and the leeks with such pride
To show all our boys we are all on their side.

Red shirts now flying towards the try line to score
Now we can hear Y Ddraig Goch roar
The Welsh fans keep shouting
“Come on boys, go! go! go!

These traditions are ours in our hearts we will keep
Our singing our rugby and our fondness for sheep
No matter how far we may travel or roam
To those who love Wales, Wales will always be home
