Overview: This course gives learners knowledge of the basic health and safety practices which are essential in the workplace and helps prepare them for progress to higher level training. It covers a broad range of subjects that will ensure you learn about several health and safety issues in any workplace setting.

Overview: This course is for anyone involved in the management of fire safety and based professionally in an area at risk of fire. Every employer is legally obliged to ensure their place of work is safe and ensure the team is equipped with a sound understanding of fire safety regulations. Learners gaining this qualification will understand that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone.

Topics covered include:

• Hazards and risks
• The control of fire risk
• Principles and practice of fire safety management
• The role of the Fire Warden

Overview: Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace – which offers more in-depth knowledge, allowing the participant to conduct a full assessment and administer first aid for a wider range of injuries as well as major illnesses such as diabetes, asthma, stroke etc

Cohort: 6-12

Cost: £150 +VAT

Overview: Successful completion of the course gives participants basic skills to manage life-threatening emergencies, as well as how to manage common paediatric illnesses and injuries. You may already be in post, but do not need to be in employment either, to achieve the one mandatory unit required to gain this qualification.
