About this course
Our Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools provides learners with an enhanced understanding of their roles and responsibilities, developing their professionalism, knowledge and confidence in their work with children, colleagues and other professionals.
Practitioners will build on existing skills and knowledge and work effectively with the teacher to support pupil learning, welfare, care and behaviour.
Developing professional and technical skills and knowledge enabling learners to confidently take on more demanding roles and responsibility within the setting.
This Apprenticeship is aimed at learning support staff who work under the supervision of the class teacher or other professionals within the school setting, whose lesson planning and day to day direction set the framework under which the individual works.
They might also be responsible for small group withdrawal or helping to run schemes such as Read Write Inc. and other forms of specialist support.
