Ahead of A Level and GCSE results day, Wales’ leading training provider ACT will be continuing their partnership with Capital FM to deliver this summer’s recruitment campaign. Titled ‘Live, Learn, Earn’, the campaign focuses on Apprenticeships and celebrates the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy in Wales. The campaign also showcases the variety of excellent learning programmes and vacancies available to school leavers.
It is easy for a company to list the benefits of Apprenticeships, but it means so much more when a real person tells you their experience. This is why the campaign’s central message uses the stories of Apprentices Stella Vasiliou, Bryony Zorlutuna, Adele Lane and Colin Pye. Aiming to engage with young people (via radio and online) the stories show how Apprenticeships are an attractive and viable alternative academic route to achieving a successful career.
Watch Stella’s story below, and head to our YouTube channel here to watch the rest of our learner stories.
The campaign also focuses on employer stories from Cwm Taf University Health Board, Vale of Glamorgan Council and DS Smith discussing how Apprenticeships have had a positive impact on their business. The message to Welsh employers is that through Apprenticeships they have access to fully-funded training to help them fill their skills gaps, upskill their current workforce and recruit the next generation.
This will be the second burst of an integrated marketing campaign produced in conjunction with Capital FM and will feature a mix of video, radio and social media marketing as well as traditional print media and competition opportunities.
Helen Hallam, Acting Marketing & PR Manager at ACT Training said: “Many young people feel that the traditional route of a University education isn’t for them. This campaign aims to showcase the depth and breadth of alternative vocational opportunities on offer. Using real life and relatable stories, the campaign demonstrates how Apprenticeships can deliver positive, life-changing results that lead to successful careers.”
ACT Training has been helping over 6,500 young people a year achieve their career ambitions, with 96% of learners rating their services as great. As well as delivering excellent results, ACT genuinely wants to make a positive difference to people’s lives and their learning programmes promise to do just that.
