About this course
This mentoring qualification is designed for both aspiring and experienced mentors who want to strengthen their mentoring knowledge, skills, and confidence. Suitable for individuals at all levels, the programme provides a practical understanding of how effective mentoring can support personal and professional development.
These qualifications are for those at all levels who want to develop their mentoring knowledge, skills and understanding in order to enhance their ability and confidence in mentoring. The qualifications are ideal for both new and existing mentors.
Learners will have a 1-hour virtual meet and greet with their tutor and will be assigned 3 modules.

- Practical experiences
- Reflecting on Mentoring Skills
This qualification will primarily be self-directed blended learning, using a combination of online bite-sized, flexible learning modules.
Learners are supported and encouraged throughout their qualification to reach their full potential in their chosen industry.
To start an Apprenticeship in Wales, you need to be:
- aged 16 or over (there is no upper age limit)
- living in Wales
- not in full-time education
- not accessing any other funding from the Welsh Government

If you’re looking to undertake an Apprenticeship qualification as a way of upskilling within your current role, you will also need to be:
- employed for a minimum of 16 hours
- supported by your employer to undertake the qualification
- committed to undertaking an average of 4-6 hours of study a month
- working in a role that is relevant to the qualification
- employed for at least 51% of your contracted hours in Wales
