About this Apprenticeship

The HARBOUR AUTHORITY, PARKS AND VISIT CARDIFF Teams are looking to employ a Corporate Apprentice (Level 3) Digital Marketing Assistant based at Queen Alexandra House, CF10 4LY, Bute Park Education Centre, CF10 3DX and County Hall CF10 4LY to contribute to our Service helping us to deliver community liaison projects and events as well as marketing of key venues and destination marketing around Cardiff Bay, Flat Holm, Bute Park and visitors to Cardiff to maximise the tourism and visitor offer for the economic benefit of Cardiff. The postholder will also gain valuable experience in other Parks, Leisure and Sport as assistance is required.

£24,027 per annum

Key Duties

  • To assist with the provision of a high-quality service – this may include developing homeworking skills for some roles.
  • To support internal and external customer requests and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • To communicate with a range of internal and/or external customers as required
  • To assist other team members in the carrying out of their duties
  • To work with others to carry out duties linked to the section in which the Apprentice is placed.
  • To undertake and complete all training and development experiences as required.
  • To participate in Corporate Scheme events

Essential Criteria

  • Has achieved, or is expected to achieve a minimum of: GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (and/or Welsh), or an equivalent qualification e.g. Essential Skills Wales Level 2 in Communication and Application of Number.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the work of the Council.
  • Can speak and write fluently in English and/or Welsh to speak to colleagues and customers, take messages or ask questions to gain understanding.
  • Able to use a computer and software applications, to any level, relevant to the role.
